Community Outreach

Outreach and education are a growing focus of Russian Ballet of Orlando (RBO). The Company believes that "Dance as an art form transcends economic, social and cultural boundaries to stimulate the mind and elevate the human spirit." (RBO) believes in the power of dance to transform lives, by helping youth overcome disadvantages, building confidence & discipline, practicing teamwork and striving for achievement. Russian Ballet of Orlando fulfills this philosophy by sharing ballet with many segments of the Central Florida community that might not otherwise be exposed to dance. The company's community outreach programs include:

• Interactive learning & entertainment programs at Public Schools, focusing on "at risk" schools
• Public Library learning series
• Free community performances at Lake Eola of both the Nutcracker Ballet and Spring Concert
• Active support of other youth organizations and children's charities
• Free programs and discounts for senior citizens
• Scholarships for exceptional dancers in financial need
