Guest Dancers
Sergiy Mikhaylov, Principal Dancer with Sarasota Ballet
Mr. Mikhaylov attended the Kiev Ballet Academy. Upon graduating, he danced with the National Theater of the
Ukraine and toured Europe, Scandinavia and Australia. In 1996 he was invited to work with Paris Classical
Ballet under the direction of Janette Jake. Mr. Mikhaylov took first place in the Serge Lifar Ballet
Competition in the Ukraine. His repertoire includes principal roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker,
Giselle, Le Corsaire, Coppelia, Scheherazade, and numerous contemporary works
including The Evening Jester. Before joining the Sarasota Ballet, he was a principal dancer for the former
Southern Ballet Theater under the direction of Fernando Bujones in Orlando for three years. Mr. Mikhaylov has
been a guest artist with the Cincinnati Orchestra and the Terada Ballet Art School in Kyoto, Japan, and has
also performed as a guest artist with Ballet Fedotov, Russian Ballet of Orlando, Boca Ballet, Metropolitan Ballet of
Topeka Kansas and the Russian Ballet of America.
Nabuhiro Terada, Soloist, National Ballet Theater of Ukraine
Born in Kyoto, Japan Nabuhiro Terada was a student with the Ballet Academy of Ukraine from 1987-1995. From
1995 to the present, he has been a soloist with the National Ballet Theater of Ukraine. In 1998, Mr. Terada
won the International Competition in Japan and in 1999 he won the International Competition "Serge Lifar"
in the Ukraine. Mr. Terada was also named Honor Artist of Ukraine in 2002. His repertoire includes principal
roles in Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Gisele, Les Syllphides, La Bayadere and more.
Katrina Fedotova, Soloist, Teacher and Rehearsal Master for Children
Ms. Fedotova studied at the Kiev Ballet Academy in Kiev, Ukraine and at the National Theater of
Yugoslavia. She has performed in many different countries including Spain, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania,
South Korea, Britain, many Russian countries. Ms. Fedotova has performed as a principal dancer or soloist in
many ballets including, Le Corsair, Sleeping Beauty, Ballet Fedotov's The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Snow White,
Hamlet and many different pieces choreographed by Vadim Fedotov.
Maksim Knysh, Principal dancer
Maksim Knysh trained with the Moscow Academy of Ballet and began his professional ballet training in Moscow in 1978. In 1986 he joined the Moscow State Musical Theater as a principal dancer and in 1990 he joined the world famous Moscow Ballet. Mr. Knysh has danced principal roles such as The Cavalier in the Nutcracker, Franz in Coppelia, Siegfried in Swan Lake and Albrecht in Giselle among others. Knysh toured Europe with Russian Ballet Stars of the Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet. Mr. Kynsh was invited by Queen Elizabeth to dance in the International Traditional Festival in London. He also danced on the Today Show on Christmas Day in 1996. Mr. Knysh has performed throughout Europe, Asia and the United States including 3 years with Orlando Ballet (formerly Southern Ballet theater).
Nicholas Morshchakov, Soloist, Sarasota Ballet
Nicholas trained with the Choreographic School and with the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Saratov, Russian.
He has danced as a soloist with the Grigorovich Ballet Theatre, dancing roles in several ballets including,
Raimondo, Spartan, Swan Lake, Don Quixote and The Nutcracker. He has also danced with the Opera and Ballet
Theatre in Saratov. Nicholas has just joined Sarasota Ballet, in Florida.
